Against the Grain Artistic Scholarship

Asian students in American universities can take advantage of Against the Grain Artistic Scholarships. The organization was purposely established to provide financial support to Asian American college students and offers four scholarships per year with a specific requirement.

A 750 words essay on any art-related topic

A short essay answering the question, “What does it mean to you to go Against the Grain? How do you go Against the Grain?”

Letters of recommendation

Artistic portfolio showcasing the applicant’s work. Videos should be 3 to 5 minutes long.

Recipients/winners of the scholarship winners will be required to send a 1 minute “thank you” video to the organization.

CRCA Scholarship

CRCA is an acronym for Chicago Roofing Contractors Association. The Association as a way to contribute back to society is awarding $4,000 scholarships annually.

The scholarship was designed for high school seniors with the intention to pursue liberal arts and sciences, engineering, architecture or business in college.

Applicants for the scholarship must be high school seniors to be accepted as full-time students into undergraduate degree programs at an accredited college to study a 4-year course in liberal arts and sciences, engineering, architecture, or business.

Applicants must have an ACT composite of 29 or higher or SAT equivalent and must be US citizens.

To apply for the scholarship, students will have to fill the complete form on CRCA scholarship website  and also complete two personal evaluation sheets with a 1-page letter of recommendation, an official transcript of all high school records and official ACT or SAT results.

The selection will be based on academic performance, faculty recommendation, extracurricular activities, employment experience.

The scholarship is renewable only if a student manages to maintain a 2.75-grade point average, based upon a 4.0 system, and it can be renewed three times.

Ehrlich Rominger Scholarship

Santa Clara County residents with currently pursuing a degree in architecture can apply for the Ehrlich Rominger Scholarship. The scholarship awards $5,000 to two lucky recipients of the scholarship. Mr Joseph Ehrlich created the Ehrlich Rominger Scholarship Fund and Mr Jack Rominger with the sole mission was to assist future architectural professionals.

The scholarship’s qualifying conditions are not severe. Applicants must be enrolled in an architecture-related college or university program and be Santa Clara residents who are also citizens or permanent residents of the United States. Applicants must complete and submit the application form on the Ehrlich Rominger Scholarship website, as well as attach the required papers. Tenshon is proud to offer a fantastic new scholarship opportunity for students who are ready to put their brains to work. Shade Sail Design Challenge Scholarship is aimed at college students who are interested in architecture, design, and/or engineering.

The scholarship payout is $1,500.00 each semester, with deadlines of July 15th for the Fall Semester and December 15th for the Spring Semester.

The scholarship will be given to the student who takes on the task of designing a unique shade sail structure utilizing standard sized shade sails available on the scholarship provider’s website.

You must be a currently enrolled college student and use just our basic shade sails to be considered eligible.

Furthermore, at least two shade sails must be included in the design, and all designs must feature more than one stand-alone shade sail.
